Mr. Blecke was has been a great teacher and provided much needed support as a behavioral scientist as well as a friend to the interns during residency.  Many thanks for his generous consent to publish excerpts from his work to this section of SikhWomen website.  Although this section was originally developed to educate providers regarding Human Sexuality and the role of the primary care physician, most of the sections are very relevant to parents and individuals who desire introspection and understand factors that influence sex and sexuality.  Not all talk about the "forbidden" topic has to be X-rated.

I have learned to approach this topic with sensitivity and understanding and to not be so quick to judge others.  This is a very interesting perspective from a healthcare point of view and you'll walk away feeling less guilt for enjoying something that means much more than just an act  – Gurpreet Kaur MD
