Singhnees who were being harassed by some Muslim soldiers

During the Sikh Missl period (just before Maharaja Ranjit Singh's reign), Giani Gian Singh  writes about

"One Singhni an Afghan solder tried to get hold of, she wrestled the soldier to the ground, and she pounded in his ribs repeatedly.  The demon shouted in agonising [agonizing] pain.  Three or four more soldiers arrived. The Singhni took their swords, one promptly hacked down 3 Afghans, the other Singhnia took their sword, attacked they did like Cheetahs pulling out swords. They wounded 30 soldiers, and killed 10.  The Singhnia showed the soldiers the pleasure of touching them.

None of the soldiers would come close or fight, and afraid they stood back.  Arrows and muskets were used without orders.  As the soldiers approached closer, the women fired upon them." [11]
